Coastal
Satellite, Inc. Adds C/KU HD Truck to Fleet
Los Angeles, CA, USA April 25, 2005
Coastal Satellite,
Inc. the premiere provider of satellite uplink and
production services in the west, announced the arrival of its fourth
uplink truck. Truck four is a C/KU Band hybrid complete with Tiernan HE
4000 HD/SD Encoders. The new addition is state-of-the-art and
was built by Frontline, Inc. and
Coastal Satellite Truck four is
the second truck added to the fleet in the last 12 months. Truck three
came on-board in May of 2004 and also has HD. The encoders are mobile
and can be shipped to any location a client desires. Other
features include: dual path analog and digital capability, a 2.4 meter
antenna, cell phones, Betacam editing, Grass Valley 100 switcher,
16 channel audio mixer, RTS and wireless IFB and a full complement of
monitoring and test equipment. Bob Adler, Coastal¹s president,
said, "The truck is spacious, featuring seven racks and work stations
for up to 8 people. Also, the HD transmission and a 32x32 router makes
six or more paths an easy set up." The truck also features a sleeper
that allows for a quicker response time on long haul road
trips. Adler concluded his comments by saying, "The demand by our
customers for C-band has increased 10 fold and we expect truck
four to become one of the favorites"

Coastal
Satellite, Inc. Adds HD Transmission
Los Angeles, CA, USA March 23, 2004
Coastal Satellite announced the acquisition of Tandberg E5788 High
Definition Encoders offering all formats of high definition
standards used by broadcasters today.
Coastal Satellite's owner, Bob Adler said,
"The 5788 is state of the art and is upgradeable to 4:2:2 HD
when it becomes available." Adler added, "Coastal Satellite,
Inc. continues to emerge as the most dependable vendor in the Western
United States. This acquisition along with the addition of our third
uplink truck (May) will allow us to provide more clients with our
reliable services."
Coastal Satellite, now in it's fifth year of operations, continues
to be on the forefront of emerging technologies. Adler said, "High
Definition transmission is what our clients have been requesting. He
added, "Although HD transmission goes along with our vision for
being the premier choice in the southwestern United States, our HD
transmission package is available to travel worldwide."
In addition to HD transmission,
Coastal Satellite is a superior
provider of KU satellite trucks, ENG crews and production packages
and maintains an insert studio in Northwestern Los Angeles County.
